Mary Lee (Endicott) Heathman

Mary Lee (Endicott) Heathman, 86, passed from this life on Monday, April 17, at her home in Nevada. She was born on Dec. 12, 1930, in Arcadia, Kan., to James and Iris (Wilson) Endicott. She married William (Bill) Heathman in 2006.

Mary worked as a housekeeper at the State Hospital in Nevada and volunteered at second-hand stores. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and arts and crafts. She especially enjoyed living the country life, the strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and the milk cows.

Survivors in addition to her husband Bill include one son, Richard Harrison (Rhonda), Hepler, Kan.; grandchildren, Shawna Clem, Carthage, Mo., and Shanna Stowell, Webb City, Mo.; five great-grandchildren; stepsons, Jerry Heathman, Paola, Kan., Ron Heathman, Kansas City, Mo., and Mike Heathman, Birmingham, Ala.; four sisters, Alice Jean Fink, Redfield, Kan., Lucille Quick, Fort Scott, Marilyn Ward, Fort Scott, Irma Harned, Fort Scott, and three brothers, Billy “Jingles” Endicott, Fort Scott, Jimmy Endicott, Okla., and Bob Endicott, Hepler, Kan. She was preceded in death by two sons, Leroy and Mike; grandson, Justin; three sisters, LaVerne Harrison, Leona Kramer and Carol Ybarra and one brother, Wayne Endicott.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 20, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with the Rev. Terry Mosher officiating. Interment will follow in Hepler Cemetery, Hepler, Kan. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home.
