Tiger baseball rained out

Friday, April 21, 2017

Nevada High School’s scheduled varsity baseball games for Friday and Saturday have been canceled due to heavy rainfall.

The Tigers were originally set to host Center High School on Friday for a twinbill, followed by a non-conference road contest today with Carl Junction.

According to Nevada High School AD John McNeley, potential make-up dates have not been discussed for either of the contests.

Weather permitting, Nevada is slated to return to the diamond on Monday for a home contest with Clinton. The first pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.

In addition, Nevada’s scheduled varsity track-and-field meet, Friday at Fort Scott (Kan.) High School was postponed until Monday, May 1.

The NHS track-and-field team is slated to compete at Monday’s Midway High School Relays in Cleveland, Mo.
