Gordon Wayne Halcomb

Gordon Wayne Halcomb, 63, Nevada, passed away on Friday, Aug. 25, at Freeman Health System, Joplin. Gordon was born on Oct. 6, 1953, in Nevada to Calvin Amos and Wava Nadine (Brown) Halcomb.

Gordon grew up in the Deerfield area and graduated from Nevada High School. He farmed all his life and operated his own trucking business for a number of years. Farming was his hobby.

Survivors include his companion Tammy Frame, of the home; a son, Kenny Halcomb (Erin), Nevada; daughter, Andrea Halcomb, Nevada; grandchildren, Mason Halcomb, McKenzie Halcomb, Trevor Seitz and Taylor Vignolo; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Pam Halcomb, Nevada; and extended family and special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 31, at Deerfield Cemetery, Deerfield, with the Rev. Hubert Fox officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 30, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
