Chelsea Kennette Johnson

Chelsea Kennette Johnson, 26, Nevada, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 26, in Nevada. Chelsea was born Oct. 29, 1990, in Nevada to Thomas E. Johnson and Dorothy (Bullock) Johnson.

Chelsea grew up in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School with the Class of 2009. Following high school she worked at Sutherland’s in Nevada for a time and then at 54 Café also in Nevada. Chelsea enjoyed attending yard sales with Nana at every opportunity. But she especially enjoyed the time she spent with her children.

Survivors include a son, Dallas Edward Gage Johnson, and a daughter, Madelynne Kennette Johnson, both of the home; father, Thomas E. Johnson, Carthage; mother, Dorothy Murphy and her husband Randy, Nevada; brothers, Melvin Ray Foley, James Washburn, Zeb Roberts and Joe Roberts; sister, Sue Havens; and numerous nieces, nephews and one great-niece. She was preceded in death by her step-mother (Nana), Margaret E. Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 31, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with the Rev. Jerod Lamb officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the family in care of Ferry Funeral Home or the Chelsea Johnson Memorial Fund at Great Southern Bank in Nevada.
