Wilma A. Foster, 91, formerly of Bronaugh, passed away on Sept. 19, at Barone Alzheimer’s Care Center in Nevada. Wilma was born Aug. 5, 1926, in Bronaugh, to Jaxie and Bessie (Willard) Hope. She was united in marriage to Calvin Foster in January of 1944 in Ft. Scott and he survives.

Wilma was raised in Bronaugh and graduated from Bronaugh High School. She spent most of her adult life as a homemaker and a farm wife where she worked many hours gardening and canning. Wilma lived nearly all of her life in Bronaugh.

In addition to her husband Calvin, she is survived by three daughters, Marilyn Yazel and her husband, Richard, Carolyn Frye and Pam Brown; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Everett Hope; two half-sisters; an infant grandson; and an infant great-grandson.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 22, at Newton Burial Park in Nevada with the Rev. Hubert Fox officiating. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
