Fab Frosh: Nevada’s Hines qualifies for multiple state swim events

Nevada Tiger freshman swim sensation Ben Hines, has qualified for the 50 and 100-yard freestyle events at the upcoming Missouri State High School Activities Association Boys Swimming and Diving Championships, scheduled for Nov. 2-3 at the Rec-Plex in St. Peters. Hines has painted a Picasso in the pool this season, racking up nine gold medals and a silver.

In addition, Clayton Wheeler’s NHS swim squad qualified a trio of relay teams for the state championship meet — the 200-yard medley relay team (Braden Russell, backstroke; Tyler Armstrong, breaststroke; Hines, butterfly; and Grant Miller, freestyle); the 200-yard freestyle relay team (Miller, Kalen Morris, Russell and Hines); and the 400-yard freestyle relay team (Miller, Morris, Russell and Armstrong).
