John Allen Millman Sr.

John Allen Millman, Sr., 79, of Bronaugh, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 28, at Nevada Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. John was born on April 2, 1938, in Joplin, to Frank Leon and Edna (Provence) Millman. He married Beverly Ann Kerbs and she preceded him in death on May 5, 2014.

John grew up in Vernon County and lived and worked in California for a number of years before bringing his family back to Nevada in 1976. He worked in trucking all his life until the late 1990s and was a member of the Teamsters Union while in California. John enjoyed fishing and going to flea markets.

Survivors include his children, Cheryl Lechman, Nevada; John Millman, Jr. and his wife Kim, Whitehouse, Tenn.; Henry Millman and his wife Doris, Moundville; Timmy Millman and his wife Christy, Bronaugh; Michael Millman Sr., Bronaugh; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Norman Millman, Destin, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Beverly, he was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Frank Millman and Edward Millman.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 1, at Moore Cemetery, Nevada, with Dennis Painter officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. on today at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
