Betty Ann Trower

Betty Ann Trower, 84, Nevada, passed away on Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, at Freeman Health System in Joplin. Betty was born on Aug. 16, 1933, in Walker to Orville E. and Mary Elizabeth (Ensor) Ogle. She married Leonard ”Shorty” Trower on May 25, 1951, in Walker and he preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 2004.

Betty graduated from Walker High School. She worked as a dietitian at Nevada Regional Medical Center until her retirement. Betty was an active member of the First Christian Church and enjoyed their widow’s group.

Survivors include her four children, Rick E. Trower and his wife Pam, Ozark, Mo., Connie L. Shepley, Sheldon, Linda J. Pearson, El Dorado Springs, and Mike D. Trower and his wife Laura, Ozark; eight grandchildren, Gail Shepley, Derrick Trower, Deanna Cargill, Danielle Kerns, Rachel Pearson, Dana Chanove, Brittney Trower and Alyssa Trower; and great-grandchildren; Emery, Rayden, Bryce, Robby, Caz, Kierra, Maci, Jenna, Kenzie and Lauren. In addition to her husband Leonard, she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Dean Ogle.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. on Dec. 26, 2017, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, with Pastor Bill Platt officiating. Interment followed in Green Mound Cemetery, Harwood. Friends called at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until the hour of service on Dec. 26.
