Berneta Ann Rawson

Berneta Ann Rawson, age 64, of El Dorado Springs, passed away Dec. 29, 2017, at her home. She was born March 21, 1953, to Wilmer and Martha (Schmidt) Boehs in Enid, Okla.

In 1964, Berneta moved with her family from Goltry, Okla., to the El Dorado Springs area. On Jan. 16, 1966, Berneta was baptized. In December of 1972, she moved to California. She came back and graduated from Nevada High School in 1973, then returned to California. While in California, Berneta married Norman Dobbs and two children were born to this union, Timothy “Scott” Dobbs and Jason Dobbs. The family moved back to Missouri in 1975.

On Sept. 10, 1988, Berneta married Stephen Rawson in El Dorado Springs.

Berneta worked many years at Fram in Nevada as a press operator. Most recently she was a home health caregiver.

Berneta loved flowers. She was outgoing, friendly and enjoyed visiting with family and friends. She loved watching Jason play Beep baseball (baseball for the blind).

Preceding her in death were her parents, Wilmer and Martha Boehs; her father and mother-in-law, Hank and Shirley Rawson; and her sister, Elfreda Koehn.

Survivors include her husband, Stephen Rawson of the home; two sons, Timothy “Scott” Dobbs and Jason Dobbs; two grandchildren; four brothers, Harold Boehs and wife Velma, of Nevada, Arthur Boehs and wife Alice, of Nevada, Calvin Boehs, of Nevada, and Mark Boehs and wife Cindy, of Monett, Mo.; brother-in-law, Leslie Rawson and wife Patricia, of El Dorado Springs; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. The family received friends on Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Living Faith Mennonite Cemetery (Walker) under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Harold Boehs, Arthur Boehs, Calvin Boehs, Mark Boehs, Les Rawson and Will Green. Honorary pallbearer is Darrell Martin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to West Central Home Health and left at the funeral home.
