A number of area student-athletes from Sheldon, Bronugh, Northeast Vernon County, and Hume were recently tabbed as All-Golden Valley Vernon County Conference basketball selections.

• First-Team All-GVVC girls selections, were: Abby Vogel, So., Montrose; Makinsey Conner, Jr., NEVC; Hannah Gorda, Jr., Hume; Leah Plunkett, Sr., Montrose; and Karlee Metcalf, Sr., Hume. Second-Team All-GVVC selections, were: Riley Knapp, Jr., Bronaugh; Mahalia Swink, So., Sheldon; Camryn East, Sr., Ballard; Adelyne Dowse, Sr., Ballard; and Lydia Longstreth, Fr., NEVC. GVVC Honorable Mention selections, were: Paige Wait, Jr., Bronaugh; Merissa Talley, Sr., Miami; Brianne Popplewell, Jr., Miami; Emily Palmer, Sr., Montrose; Emmah Fillpot, Sr., Hume; Sudie Callahan, Fr., Ballard; and Meckinize McCartney, So., Sheldon.
