Run by NHS head varsity boys coach Shaun Gray (pictured above), the week-long camp will run from 3-4:45 p.m. for third and fourth-graders and 5-6:45 p.m. for fifth and sixth-graders. (Note: This camp is for students entering grades third through sixth for the 2018-19 school year).

According to the brochure, each camper will receive seven to eight hours “of teaching the fundamentals of shooting, ball-handling, passing, scoring and team play.” Activities at the camp include: Hot shot contest, free throw contest, dribble tag contest, beat the clock and a daily knockout contest.

The brochure states: “The 2018 Nevada Tiger (boys) basketball camp is a terrific place to learn more about the game of basketball. The Nevada Tiger basketball coaching staff is looking forward to this summer’s camp and will create a fun environment in which the fundamentals of the game will be taught.

“We feel our camp will challenge and excite your son. We want to share good times and great basketball learning opportunities with each of our campers.

“We will have individual contests in shooting and ball-handling. Additionally, we will recognize a ‘camper of the day’ given to a student-athlete who demonstrates a great attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn.”

The brochure also states that in addition to drawings for prizes, campers will receive a T-shirt.

Registration is to completed the day of the camp, Monday, at Nevada High School.
