Cassandra Rachel Hocking

Cassandra Rachel Hocking, age 26, of El Dorado Springs, MO, passed away tragically on May 9, 2018.

Cassandra was born in West Virginia on Sept. 17, 1991. She was married to the love of her life, Terry Hocking for nine years. Many people were fortunate enough to get to meet her. She was a bright and shining light for all who were lost. She would do anything to help out her family and friends. She was an amazing mother, a beautiful wife, a wonderful sister, the best aunt and a great niece.

She is survived by her husband, Terry Hocking; two children, Pete William and Kali LeeAnn; her mother, Melissa (Wade) Visser; a sister, Ashllii Winland; and a brother, Mickey (Ashlie) Winland. She is also an aunt to many children: Connor, Madison and Kaydon Nicoletti, Elysia and Isabella Winland, Lacey Duncan, Johnny and Emily Cox, Shayla Hocking, Xavier Bean and Madison Balding and Aiden and Amery Stahl. She is also survived by five aunts, Bonnie (Larry) Groves, Connie Bowers, Joyce Snyder, Susan (Jim) DeTorre, Kim Winland and Uncle Gary Winland; cousins, Chris, Jason and Gina Groves, Jerrett, Zac and Jourdan Snyder, Gabe Feist, Andrew Bowners and Megan Sutherland, Cara Davisson and Josh Winland; a large number of in-laws; and many, many friends whom she loved with all her heart.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Mickey Winland; her Ma-Ma, Madeline Shreves; her grandpa, Homer Shreves; her grandma, Sarah Butler; grandpa, Lee Winland; and uncle Mark Richmond.

Services were held at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home on May 12, at 1 p.m. The Rev. Roger Todd officiated. Cassandra was laid in her final resting place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in El Dorado Springs at 2:15 p.m. under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Mickey Winland, Jimmy Woody, Chris Groves, Steven Stiers, Jason Groves and Thomas Schwing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to help the family with expenses and left at the funeral home.
