It is with great sadness that the family of Lloyd G. Crites announces his passing after a brief illness, on April 20, at the age of 84 years.

Lloyd will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 30 years, Nancy; and his children, Lloyd B. (Lori) Crites, of Tulsa, Okla., Jackie Henry, of Nevada; stepson, Larry G. Cecil, of San Diego, Calif.; and sister, Nadine Moore, of Nevada; as well as nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Lloyd is predeceased by his daughter, Debbie G. Crites (2011).

Lloyd was born and raised in Nevada to Brutus and Sarah Crites. He served in the Air Force for 23 years including service during the Vietnam War as an aircraft mechanic. Upon retirement from the service he was involved in aeronautics businesses in Carson City and Reno, Nev. For many years, Lloyd and Nancy explored this great country of ours in their RV accompanied by feline companion, Tilly-Boots. Lloyd (and Nancy) volunteered extensively and served as officers in The Sertoma Organization, whose primary purpose is to be of service to mankind. Lloyd was a kind and generous man with a keen sense of humor and passion for tracking current weather conditions wherever his loved ones resided.

Nancy and Lloyd settled in Sierra Vista, Ariz., in 2007. Interment occurred at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery in Reno, Nev., on May 4.
