Jack William Scott

Jack William Scott, 83, formerly of Nevada, Mo., passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018 in Prineville, OR. Jack was born November 8, 1934 in Redmond, OR to William and Victoria Luella (Burton) Scott. On April 26, 1956 he was united in marriage to Alyce Lee Burgess and she preceded him in death on January 10, 2000.

Jack was raised in Redmond, OR and attended school there. At the age of 17 he entered the United States Air Force and was stationed in South Korea during the war in Vietnam. Jack served in the Air Force for 22 years, retiring in 1974 as a Technical Sergeant (T/SGT). Following his time in the service he returned to Oregon and worked at Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Prineville for five years. He then became the owner of Ochoco Appliance Repair which he operated for a number of years until his retirement in 1992. In 1993 he and Alyce moved to Nevada where he lived for many years before returning to Prineville.

Survivors include one son, Shannon Lee Scott, Prineville, OR; five daughters, Lisa Russell, Greenville, TX, April Hensley, Prineville, OR, Thea Hosack, Savenburg, KS, Mariah Harrison, Terrebonne, OR, Jackie Hall, Ft. Scott, Kan; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Mike Hutchens officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Moore Cemetery, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home.
