Patricia Joan Hargrove

Patricia Joan Hargrove, 89, Humansville, Mo., formerly of Nevada, passed away Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018 at the Big Springs Care Center in Humansville following a brief period of illness. Patricia was born Dec. 12, 1928, in Nevada, Mo., the daughter of Walter Everett and Della Mae (Smith) Evans. She married Charles Hargrove Aug. 16, 1948, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 2018.

Patricia was born and raised in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School in 1947. She lived and worked in Kansas City for 13 years before moving to Clinton, Mo., where she worked as the secretary for the Clinton School District Superintendent. She and Charles came back to Nevada in 1986 and the couple enjoyed traveling together for many years.

Survivors include son, Terry Hargrove and wife, Barbara, Osceola, Mo.; three grandchildren, Tami Thomas and Marvin Hold, Deerfield, Mo., Jon Hargrove and his wife, Jessica Archie, Mo., and James Hargrove and his wife, Amanda, Milo, Mo.; 12 great-grandchildren, Heather Thomas, Taylor Dilly, Colton Thomas, Shane Hargrove, Jonna Hargrove, Alta Hargrove, Pete Hargrove, Leea Hargrove, Alexis Jacobs, Kinlee Ihde, Cameron Hargrove, and Dillon Hargrove; three great-great-grandchildren, Abigail, Teddy, and Isabell; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. In addition to her husband, Charles, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Lucille Boundy, Gail Hoge, and Mary Emery; and one brother, Walter Everett Evans Jr.
