“It’s A Wonderful Life,” the 1946 American Christmas classic film by Frank Capra, is a fantastical comedy-drama that has been a seasonal television staple for over 70 years. Originally adapted from Phillip Stern’s 1943 short story “The Greatest Gift” for television and the silver screen, it has been adapted again by Joe Landry into a live radio play, a stage performance in which actors portray 1940s radio broadcast staff as they perform an on-air retelling of George Bailey’s great adventure of self-discovery. The Community Council on the Performing Arts (CCPA) brings this beloved classic to Nevada’s Fox Playhouse sponsored by White Ember Financial Planning. Directed by Jason Fowler, a CCPA Fox Playhouse regular performer, debuting as director with the help of experienced thespian, assistant director Crystal Bridger.
