Rita Jo Pisciotta

Rita Jo Pisciotta, 63, Richards, Mo., passed away on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, at her home in Richards. Rita was born Oct. 22, 1955, in Nevada, Mo. to Jack and Betty Jo (Householder) Howrey.

Rita was raised in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School Class of 1974. She worked for 15 years at Nevada State Hospital and also at 3M in Nevada for a number of years until her retirement. Rita enjoyed antiquing, crafts, painting, ceramics, flea markets, and garage sales.

Survivors include two children, Amber Schmidt and her husband, Matt, Nevada, and Brach Pisciotta and his wife, Courtney, Overland Park, Kan.; grandchildren, Harper Pisciotta, Bowen Pisciotta, Cayden Campbell, and Morgan Campbell; siblings, Brenda Hester and her husband, Barry, Rogers, Ark., and Paula Spiva, Nevada, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony; her parents; one brother, Jackie Howrey; and one uncle, Richard Howrey.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 19, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Pastor Roger Beach officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park in Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
