Nevada Fire Department quick response time applauded by council

Nevada’s Fire Department received kudos from the city council on Tuesday for their reported three minute and thirty-eight second average response time to calls within the city limits. Fire Chief Bill Thornton said later that the department is required to meet the standard time of between three and five minutes from the time they are notified of the alarm.
