Griffons to hold annual youth camp

The Nevada Griffons have scheduled two youth baseball camps for next month.

The camps are set to take place on the same day. The session for 5-8 year-old’s is set for 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Wednesday, June 19 at Lyons Stadium.

The camp-session for 9-14 year-old’s is slated for 1-3 p.m., June 19.

The groups will receive instruction from Griffons’ players and coaches — teaching the fundamentals of baseball.

Camp attendees will be honored on the field during a graduation ceremony, scheduled for Sunday, June 23 at Lyons Stadium, with the festivities taking place at 6:15 p.m. prior to the Griffons MINK League contest with the Jefferson City Renegades.

Camp participants will receive a T-shirt and participation certificate.

Registration forms can be picked up at the Osage Prairie YMCA — and Nine Patch Quilts, located at 129 E. Walnut St. Completed registration forms can be turned in to Nine Patch, or brought to the camp. Registration forms can also be downloaded online at www.nevadagriffons.org
