The week-long Jeff Post Memorial Million $ Hole-N-One contest, hosted by the Nevada Griffons, crowned its winner Sunday, as Cottey Comet golfer Rachel Hancock took the top prize. Hancock was unable to sink a hole-in-one, and claim the hefty payday — but with one shot in the finals, on hole No. 18 at Frank E. Peters Municipal Golf Course, she achieved the closest to the hole shot. Her prize was a set of TaylorMade wedges, valued at $500. Todd Klingaman, meanwhile, netted a 50-inch Hitachi flatscreen TV, while Shaun Gray placed third. Six days of qualifying rounds preceded the semifinals and finals, both held Sunday. From there, 19 competitors qualified for the semifinals, with Hancock, Klingaman, and Gray moving on to the finals.
