Vernon County Big Serve founder Lynda Jones reported approximately 200 volunteers completed 32 projects in the area during the most recent weekend event. For this round of service, Crossroads Community Church, Nevada Regional Medical Center, Nevada football and Canopy Pro Tree Care joined the other participating organizations. The Big Serve is supported by the Vernon County Chamber of Commerce and the Ministerial Alliance, with its success depending on donations of time, money and labor from supporting businesses, organizations and individuals. "We had a great turnout in volunteers like we usually do," Jones added. "We were grateful God postponed the rain until Saturday evening, allowing us to get that day's projects completed."
