Nevada Lady Tiger star center fielder Bailey Ast has seen her hard work pay off, as the Nevada High School sophomore debuted in the Class of 2022 Extra Inning high school national softball rankings — slotting in as the No. 254 ranked player in America.

Ast was recognized for the feat by her summer-league team, KC Zephyrs-Brumley.

"Congratulations to MIF/OF Bailey Ast checking in at #254 in Extra Innings rankings for the class of 2022," the team's Twitter page read. "Making the top 500 list in the nation is huge! Congrats kid!!!"

Ast, who also plays second base, had a stellar sophomore campaign this past fall, helping to lead the Lady Tigers to their first state tournament berth since 2011.

At Bushwhacker Field in late October, Ast's walk-off single against Oak Grove propelled Nevada to the Class 3 state quarterfinals.
