Kollin Smith, 26, of Nevada, was involved in a two-vehicle wreck on Highway 54 in Western Vernon County Saturday evening.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Highway 54 and T-Highway, two miles east of the Kansas state line.

Attempting to turn left from the westbound lane onto T-Highway, Smith's 2004 Chevy Impala struck a 1999 Ford Ranger Rover traveling east, driven by 59-year-old James Johns — of Lane, Kansas.

According to the Missouri state highway Patrol accident report, Smith was not wearing a seatbelt, and was transported to Nevada Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. No injuries were reported for Johns.
