Bonnie Lou Bourland, 58, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at her home in Nevada. Bonnie was born May 4, 1962, in Nevada, to Lewis and Josephine (Lampke) Hamlett.

Bonnie was raised in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School Class of 1980. She worked for a time at Key Work Clothes, then worked at Walmart for 17 years until she retired due to her illness. She loved her cats and dogs, frogs, raising chickens, plastic canvas, and especially family get-togethers, where she was always the life of the party.

She is survived by a daughter, Ahstyn Klotz (Tony), Nevada; son, Bobby Bourland, Nevada; nine grandchildren, Bethany, Dakota, Trenton, Nate “Sydney”, Dylan, Corey, Deacon, Tanner, and Sayda; four great-grandchildren, Haidyn, Khloe, Silas, and Jackson; siblings, Barbara Smith (Ab), Brenda Masur (Randy), Bruce Hamlett, Betty Robbins (Darryl), Joe Wilkin, Faylon Griggs (Cheryl), Lona Fritter Fraser, Carl New and Charles New. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Chester Dale New and Jerry New.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., July 28, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, Mo., with the Rev. Jerod Lamb officiating.

Memorials are suggested in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in care of Ferry Funeral Home.
