Nevada R-5 gives updates on district's event attendance guidelines

The Nevada R-5 School District recently updated what event attendance will look like this academic year. According to the release, when planning for crowd management, "Nevada R-5 School District strives to prioritize the spectators' experience at home athletic events. Due to COVID-19, it is necessary to alter the district's guidelines for those attending home events." The following are guidelines that were created for the safety of spectators at the district's events this year.

Football Events

• Elementary and middle school students are not allowed to bring balls to the game.

• Elementary and middle school students must enter and be seated with family members.

• Social distancing should be followed in the concession stand lines.

• Face coverings are encouraged when social distancing is not possible.

• Lawn chairs are allowed outside the short chain link fence which surrounds the field.

• The high school students section will utilize every other bleacher.

• Spectators are asked to follow any posted seating guidance.

• Only coaches, players, trainers, and approved staff and media will be allowed on the field.

• No spectators will be allowed on the field at any time.

• No visiting bands will be allowed to play.

Indoor Events

• Face coverings are encouraged when social distancing is not possible.

• The student section will utilize every other bleacher.

• Please follow any posted seating guidance.

• Visitor and home seating signs are posted on the walls.

All Outdoor Events

• Face coverings are encouraged when social distancing is not possible.

• Using lawn chairs is encouraged to assist with social distancing.
