Quickly back in action after hosting their annual home invitational Friday, the Nevada Lady Tiger golf team returned to the links for Monday's 10th Annual eCarthage/Carthage H.S. Invitational, at Carthage Golf Course — placing sixth at the eight-team event.

Nevada junior Katie Pennington fired her top round of the season at the 18-hole event, a 29-over-par 100, for a 13th-place individual finish.

"Katie had one of her best rounds, with her score of 100," said Nevada coach Brian Leonard. "Her goal this season is to shoot under 100."

Lady Tiger sophomore Riley Severance carded a 38-over 109, placing 19th.

"Riley also has her scores coming down," Leonard noted.

Rounding out Nevada's team scoring, junior Libby Barrett wrapped play with a 114 for a 24th-place finish — while freshman Paige Hertzberg shot a 120, and finished in 30th.

"All four girls improved their scores from the last two tournaments," summed up Leonard.

Winning the tournament by seven strokes was McDonald County's Lily Allman (2-under 69).
