Vernon County Health Department reports 32 active cases of COVID-19

According to the Vernon County Health Department, the counties total confirmed cases of COVID-19 has risen to 288, with 29 probable cases, as of Tuesday, Oct. 13.

Of this total, 32 are active — this includes both confirmed and probable cases. There has been a total of 282 who have recovered from COVID-19 and three deaths in the county. Twenty-three of the total confirmed cases are travel related; 199 are close contacts; and 95 are unknown. Two cases are currently hospitalized. There has been 5,159 negative tests administered in the county.

This is a total overall increase in cases, with a slight decline in "active" cases. Last week, the county reported 35 active cases — this week's update shows a decline of three active cases, with an increase of 41 total cases (confirmed and probable). This is because some of the previous active cases have since recovered.
