Nevada High School's Eden Fisher dazzled at the Missouri Class 1 (individual) tennis tournament Friday and Saturday at Cooper Sports Complex in Springfield.

On Friday Fisher toppled Trenton High product Lexi Gott in the sectional-round — 7-5 6-4. Advancing to the quarterfinals on the same day, Fisher breezed to victory over Odessa's Kelly Cockrum — 6-4 6-0.

Returning to the court Saturday, Fisher had her title aspirations dashed, falling in the semifinals in two sets to St. Louis Luthern South's Emma Pawlitz.

Fisher then bounced back in the third-place match, triumphing over St. Louis Duchesne's Elizabeth Reed in a thriller — 4-6, 7-5, 11-9, en route to the bronze medal finish.
