After Hours with Mayor Knox held Thursday

Thursday, October 22, 2020
Above: A small gathering of community members joined Nevada Mayor George Knox for conversation Thursday evening at the Frank E. Peter's Golf Course. At the top of the conversation, Cyndia Haggard (pictured second from right) asked Mayor Knox for clarification on what is deemed a "derelict" vehicle. "It is any car that is untagged or in disrepair," stated the mayor. "If it can't be moved, it is derelict." The City of Nevada recently did a derelict vehicle sweep in which approximately 232 vehicles were cited as being derelict. In addition, other topics discussed during the half hour meeting included sewer taps, building houses within city limits, golf course improvements, and upcoming work on the overpass (scheduled for December 2020).
