Charlie Joe Perkins

Charlie Joe Perkins was born on July 7, 1946 to Floyd and Janet Perkins at Nevada City Hospital. Charlie passed on Monday, December 21, 2020 in Nevada Missouri after a long convalescence.

Charlie was raised on the family farm near Walker, MO where he attended school and played tuba in the Marching band. The family moved to Nevada and he graduated from Nevada High School. Charlie worked for Hallmark in Kansas City for several years before returning to Nevada.

Preceded in death by parents and older brother Fred Perkins. Survived by brother Ed Perkins and wife Sharyn, sister Marja Crouse and husband Don, sister Marye Callaway and husband DA, daughter Cherie Gordon and daughter Christie Stein and husband Mike, several grandchildren, one great granddaughter and nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

At this time there is no longer a statewide limitation on the number of people attending funerals or visitations, however those in attendance will be asked to maintain social distancing, and that people are asked to wear face masks to protect themselves and others.
