Ralph Jarot “Jerry” Herren

Ralph Jarrott "Jerry" Herren, 80, Nevada, Mo., passed away Friday, June 11, 2021, at his home following a short battle with cancer. Jerry was born Sept. 24, 1940, in Dacoma, Okla., to Ralph W, and Leota F. (Fox) Herren. He was united in marriage to Carol Jean Biggs on Dec. 17, 1959, in Nevada, Mo., and she survives of the home.

Jerry was raised in Dacoma, Okla., and came to Nevada for his senior year, graduating from Nevada High School Class of 1958. He worked at 3M Nevada for 26 years until his retirement in 1999. Jerry enjoyed traveling, especially trips to Branson, but mostly he loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a longtime member of the Pentecostal Assembly Church in Nevada.

In addition to his wife Carol, survivors include two sons, Kenneth Herren (Janeen), Butler, Mo., and Gifford Herren (Tammy), Rich Hill, Mo.; one daughter, Linda Daniels (Jason), Nevada, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one brother, Dale Herren, Bronaugh, Mo.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 16, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada, with Pastor Dennis Englebrecht and Pastor Jason Daniels officiating. Burial will follow in Newton Burial Park in Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home.
