Patty Jean Baker

Patty Jean Baker, 91, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Moore-Few Care Center, in Nevada. Patty was born Feb. 9, 1930, in Deerfield, Mo., to William and Mary Elizabeth (Galvin) Wolfe. She married Leonard Baker on Sept. 3, 1948, in Pueblo, Colo., and he preceded her in death on Dec. 14, 2013.

Patty grew up in the Moundville area. In her earlier years she attended Hackberry School and later attended Bronaugh High School. Patty loved her family and was a homemaker all of her life. She also loved fishing, camping, gardening, and going to the lake.

Patty is survived by two daughters, Dianna Bowen (Randall), Stockton, Mo., and Sherry Snowden (Darrell Crayne), Belton, Mo.; one grandson, Travis Pugh (Tammy), Nevada, Mo.; and a brother, William Wolfe (Judy), Republic, Mo. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Barney Wolfe; and two sisters, Wilma Allen, and Beulah McLeaish.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 14, at Moundville Cemetery, in Moundville, Mo., with Ed Post officiating. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.

Memorials are suggested in her memory to the Moundville Cemetery Association or the American Breast Cancer Foundation in care of Ferry Funeral Home.
