First-timer, familiar faces win at Nevada Speedway
The points season might be over, but there is still plenty of action going down at Nevada Speedway.
On Saturday, the dirt track hosted five races — highlighted by a wire-to-wire victory by Jered Traster in the Outlaw 4-Cylinders competition on his first-ever trip to the Speedway. Oklahoma's Michael Longacre beat out Lane Traster for second place. Mike Baxter finished fourth, and Ty Davis was fifth.
Jerry Wheeler of Nevada won the Pure Stocks race, followed by last week's winner, Joshua Parcell. Chris Diamond took third, Scott Pullen was fourth, and Gage Hooper rounded out the top five.
Midwest Mods track champion Jordan Beard moved up from his starting position in fifth to win that race. Mitch Coulter settled for second place, followed by fellow Fort Scott driver Caden Bolin in third. Nevada's Hunter Lagunes finished fourth. Kenny Hubbard was fifth.
Chris Kircher of Drexel narrowly beat out track champion Dale Douty for first place in the Street Stocks race. Mark Davis placed third. Brandon Douty, fresh off win no. 1 last week, took fourth. Clayton Brown of Hume was fifth.
Nevada's Jon Sheets took the checkered flag in B-Mods — followed by Rex Harris (second), Brian Bolin (third), Jerry Morgan (fourth), and Brantlee Gotschall (fifth).
