Hume Invitational Junior High Basketball Tournament

The Hume Invitational Junior High Basketball Tournament wrapped up Friday, Nov. 5, and Saturday, Nov. 6. It started off by the Miami Lady Eagles taking on the Butler Lady Bears for the Consolation Game, with the Lady Butler Bears winning by a large margin, 43-4. Then, the boys of the Ballard Bulldogs squared off with the Bronaugh Wildcats for the Consolation Game, as well, with the Ballard Bulldogs on top, 30-15.

Next, the games for third place in the tournament went into play, by the Drexel Lady Bobcats taking on the Bronaugh Lady Wildcats, with the Lady Bobcats winning by only one point, 23-22, and the Lady Wildcats winding up in fourth place. Then, the boys of Drexel Bobcats took on Rich Hill Tigers, with the Bobcats winning, 59-27, and the Tigers ending up in fourth place.

To conclude the tournament's action, the Archie Lady Whirlwinds competed against the Hume Lady Hornets for Championship. Both teams put up a good fight, but the Lady Hornets snagged the win with a score of 23-21, and the Lady Whirlwinds winding up in second place. And the boys of the Archie Whirlwinds Rivaled it out with the Butler Bears for Championship.

The Bears started out strong with first half of the game, but then things took a change for the second half of the game with the Whirlwinds scoring and putting up a big fight by winning the game, 31-23, and the Bears winding up in second place.
