David Ray Bogart

David Ray Bogart, of Sheldon, Mo., died at home surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021, at the age of 66.

He was born Oct. 7, 1955, in Nevada, Mo., he was a Retired Union Carpenter of 31 years. Returning to his home of 39 years in Sheldon spending time with his loves of family, fishing, hunting, and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife Cheryl of 47 years and his children Kimberly and Byron Walker of Pocahontas, Ill., and Tim Bogart of Leechburg, Pa.; his two grandchildren, Kylea Walker of Indianapolis, Ind., and Noah Walker of Warrensburg, Mo.; his mother, Maudie Bogart of Nevada, Mo.; his siblings, Ralph (Sally) Bogart of Sheldon, Mo., Charlie Bogart of Sheldon, Mo., Wilma Jean Lacey of Lamar, Mo., Paul (Suzanne) Bogart of Sheldon, Mo., Robert (Volantie) Bogart of South Dakota, Glenda (Leroy) Fleener of Waynesville, Mo., Steven Bogart of Clinton, Mo., Linda Kay (David) Hart of Lamar, Mo., Patty (Jack) Stupca of Bullhead City, Ariz., Nancy Wright of Lamar, Mo., and Terry (Melanie) Bogart of Nevada, Mo.; numerous nieces and nephews; and his dog, Duke.

He was preceded in death by his father, Winford Bogart; and his sister, Connie Ruth.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks contributions to be made in care of Ferry Funeral Home to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
