Alta Mae Wooldridge

Alta Mae Wooldridge, 87, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Friday, Dec. 24, 2021, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Mo., following a brief illness. Alta was born Sept. 11, 1934, in Nevada, to Harry and Opal (Holland) Bogart. She was united in marriage to Glenn Wooldridge on Dec. 18, 1954, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 2010.

Alta was raised in Sheldon and attended Sheldon High School. She worked for IMCO, a plastic bottle manufacturer in Kansas City, Mo., for several years before moving to Nevada in 1978. She then worked at Key Work Clothes until their closing, and for a time at Walmart in Nevada. Alta attended First Christina Church in Nevada. She enjoyed crocheting in her spare time.

Survivors include two sons, Dale Wooldridge (Toni), Nevada, and Darren Wooldridge (Lori), Belton, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Ryan Wooldridge (Cathie), Nevada, Andrea Miller (Sim), Nevada, Beth Roush (David), Joplin, Mo., Morgan Wooldridge, El Dorado Springs, Curtis Campbell, Rachel Donovan, and Liberty Donovan, all of Kansas City, Mo.; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lula Shaw, Bronaugh, and Carrie Houdeshell, Bronaugh; and one brother, Harry Bogart (Saundra), Bronaugh.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 29, at Sheldon Cemetery in Sheldon, Mo. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the Ferry Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested in her memory to the activities at the Bungalows of Nevada (formerly Morningside) in care of Ferry Funeral Home.
