Kevin Ray Doyle

Kevin Ray Doyle, 63, formerly of Nevada, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022, at his home in Sheldon, Mo. Kevin was born May 5, 1958, in Pittsfield, Ill., to Russell O. and Marylyn L. (Shaw) Doyle.

Kevin was raised in Carrolton, Ill., and graduated from Carrolton High School in 1976. He received a Batchelor Degree in Law Enforcement from School of the Ozarks in Branson, Mo., and received a degree from the Police Training Institute in Champaign, Ill. Kevin worked for the Carrolton, Ill., Police Department from 1980-1984 and the Nevada, Mo., Police Department from 1985 until he retired in 2009. He has resided in Sheldon for the past 5 years.

Survivors include his daughter, Ann Louise Cooper (D.J.), Lawrence, Kan.; his son, Russell William Doyle (Jennifer), Nevada; grandchildren, Shaun Doyle, Alexander Doyle and Elenore Doyle; siblings, Dick Doyle (Carla) Walla Walla, Wash., and Debra Fay (Brad), Huntsville, Ala.; two nieces and four nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 7, at Moore Cemetery, Nevada. Arrangements are under the direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
