Mary Beth Clines, 59, Fort Scott, Kan., formerly of Stotesbury, Mo., passed away on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022, at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, Kan. Beth was born Oct.14, 1962, in Fort Scott, Kan., to Marvin D. and Leta Fae (Goddard) Shelton.

Beth was born in Fort Scott and moved with her family at a young age to Stotesbury, Mo. She attended school in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School in 1981. Beth was a homemaker and lived most of her adult life in Neosho, Mo. For the past three years, she has resided in Fort Scott.

Beth was always one to capture the “moment” and as a result took pictures every chance she had. She enjoyed flower gardening, loved family gatherings, and especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren. Her legacy and greatest joy in life is her three sons.

Survivors include her three sons, Brandon Shrimplin (Jessica), Neosho, Mo., Corey Clines (Megan), Omaha, Neb., and Jarod Clines, Neosho, Mo.; six grandchildren, Chelsea, Addy, Skylar, Abigayle, Jaxon, and Lundynn; father, Marvin Shelton, Stotesbury; three brothers, Terry Shelton, Bossier, La., Dave Shelton, Stotesbury, and Tom Shelton, Stotesbury; her partner, Jay Whitworth; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Fae Shelton.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 5, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.

Cremation will follow and a private committal of ashes will be held at East Liberty Cemetery in Stotesbury at later date.
