Luella Mae (Rosson) Nichols

Luella Mae Rosson Nichols, 93, went to be with our Lord and Savior on March 15, 2022, at Truman Healthcare and Rehab in Lamar, Mo. She was born on Nov. 8, 1928, in Callaway County, Mo., to William Hiller Rosson and Lillie Mae Basnett Rosson. Luella was united in marriage to Millard Joe Nichols on May 3, 1947. He preceded her in death in 1993.

Luella was blessed with four children, Jacqueline Lee King, (Nicky) Gary Joe Nichols (Janet), Eric Allan Nichols, and Tonya Kay Hogan (Jeff); seven grandchildren, Amberly Phelps (Mike), Amanda Nichols, Zach Nichols (Jessica), Ethan Hogan, Emily Crewse (Branson), Kensi Dye (Callen), and Kaitlyn Johnson (Daniel); two great grandchildren, Lanie and Luella; and lots of family and friends.

Luella was a realtor and tax preparer for H&R Block, but her most loved job was wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed reading, traveling, shopping with her girls, and beating her granddaughters in rummy. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, in Nevada.

Visitation was held at Heuser Funeral Home, in Rich Hill, Mo., at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 20, with a graveside service that followed.
