God, according to the purpose of His eternal will, has called his faithful son, Michael Ray Barker, home to His side. Mike, son of Raymond and Marie Barker, was born Feb. 10, 1969, in Fort Scott, Kan., and departed this life on March 30, 2022, at the age of 53. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by those who love him most.

Mike was a resident of Spokane, Mo., for 18 years, moving there from Nevada, Mo., in 2004. Mike was an optometrist who worked at the Branson West Walmart Vision Center and was loved by his patients and those who worked with him. He was also a beloved founding member of Reformed Bible Church in Branson West, Mo.

Mike was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend to all he met. Mike is survived by his wife, Rachelle (Wilson) Barker of Spokane, Mo.; son, Adam Barker of Spokane, Mo.; daughter, Hope Barker of Spokane, Mo.; his parents, Raymond and Marie (Fink) Barker of Fort Scott, Kan.; brother, Mitch Barker and wife, Cheryl, of Fort Scott, Kan.; and a host of other family and friends.

Services for Mike will be Monday, April 4, 2022, at Keystone Baptist Church in Reeds Spring, Mo. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m., with funeral service to follow at 3 p.m., with Pastor Steve Renner officiating. Burial will be in Schupbach Cemetery Spokane, Mo.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Pregnancy Life Line or Reformed Bible Church, both of Branson West, Mo. Arrangements are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home in Kimberling City, Mo.
