Tigers lose at the first home game of the year against Frontenac 8-1

After the downpours the Vernon County area received in the past week, we finally had a home game for the Nevada Tiger Baseball team, even with a bit of a delay while waiting on the umpires. It was a scoreless ballgame until the top of the fifth with two outs when Logan Meyers got a hit off of the pitcher #14 Eli Cheaney that caused the Frontenac Raiders to score their first run of the game. No. 18 Kartman Highley had pitched the whole game until the top of the fifth until Cheaney replaced him, moments before Frontenac scored the run.
