Andy Eugine Watson

Andy Eugine Watson, 62, Nevada, Mo., left this earth suddenly on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Freeman West, in Joplin. Andy was born July 25, 1959, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Jerry and Mary C. (Wolf) Watson. He was married to Jeanne M. Wicklund on Feb. 28, 2003, in Springfield, Mo., and she survives of the home.

Andy grew up in Hawaii and graduated from Kalaheo High School Class of 1978 in Kailua, Hawaii. Following high school, he joined the United States Air Force. He served in Panama and was also stationed in the UK and Germany for 10 years. Following his service years, Andy served as Deputy Sheriff in the Greene County Sheriff’s Department for 20 years from 1984 until his retirement in 2004. He came to Nevada in 2009 and has worked in security at 3M in Nevada for the past 12 years.

In addition to his wife, Jeanne, he is survived by one son, Levi DeSilva (Lindsay), Nevada; two grandchildren, Gavyn DeSilva and Breanna DeSilva; parents, Jerry and Leslie Watson, Henderson, Nev.; two brothers, Joe Yates, Tennessee, Mike Watson (Sharon), Mantica, Calif.; sister, Jamie Watson, Portland, Ore.; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., on Tuesday, May 31, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada. Committal services will be held in the National Cemetery in Springfield, Mo., at a later date.

Memorials are suggested in his memory to Mid-America Boston Terrier Rescue in care of Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada.
