Abbie Harth

Abbie Harth was born May 30, 1928, in Missouri and deceased June 3, 2022, in Louisiana.

In modesty she would say “too much water has crossed under the bridge” to share her accomplishments, but her childhood, during the Great Depression, provided foundation for lifelong volunteerism, perseverance, resilience, and strength which all who knew her could rely. She was a servant leader who gave her time to family farming, assisting at church and in her community, lovingly looking after her family, and actively participating in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s lives.

She is survived by her brother, Barnett Ellis; two daughters, Evelyn Losey (Gary) and Clara Houston (Stuart); two granddaughters, Christen (James) and Crystal (Bradley); and one grandson, Jake (Amber). She was blessed with one great-grandson and six great-granddaughters. She was predeceased by sons, John and Olen Harth; husband, Ammon Harth; and parents, Isaac and Wiltsee Ellis.

As Abbie would quip “that’s the whole story in a nutshell.”
