Community members enjoy weekend events at Sheldon's Annual Old Settlers' Picnic

Sheldon community members enjoyed themselves throughout the remainder of the Annual Old Settlers'Picnic on Friday evening and all day Saturday.

Friday evening events included the food and vendor booths; lawn tractor pull; carnival rides; and music provided by the Portia Corner Band.

Saturday included a long list of fun enjoyable events for the young and old. The Senior Class of Sheldon High School put on a breakfast feed; kids races and games were held; a turtle race; baby show; watermelon feed; slow pitch softball tournament; kids tractor pull; car show; the infamous all time favorite Annual Parade; royalty coronation; and that evening, folks were able to hear the Honky Tonk Dream Band.
