Jolene Koopmann, 85, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Friday, Aug. 12, 2022, at the Barone Alzheimer’s Care Center, in Nevada. Jolene was born on Sept. 20, 1936, in Wisner, Neb., to Fritz Wilhelm Emil Koopmann and Leola Anna Marie (Breitbarth) Koopmann.

Jolene graduated from Nevada High School Class of 1954. She was baptized on April 1, 1956, and was a member of the Clayton Christian Church, then later attended the Community Christian Church in Nevada. She worked at Key Industries in Nevada and retired after 45 years of work.

Jolene was an avid bowler in her younger years, and enjoyed helping her brother, Fritz, on his farm, hauling grain and running tractors, especially driving the yellow Ford Grain Truck. She liked to fish and enjoyed taking her nieces and nephews when she could. She was an avid KC Chiefs and Royals Baseball fan.

Survivors include her brother, Fritz Koopmann (Sharon), Deerfield, Mo.; nephews, Charlie Dale Holland (Tena), Nevada, Mo., and Ted Koopmann (Dawn), Webb City, Mo.; nieces, Susan Beltz (Matt), Deerfield, Mo., and Sammie McCullough (Kris), Nevada, Mo.; great-nephews, Chandler Holland, Nevada, Mo., and Alex Koopmann, Wisconsin; great-niece, Kalli McCullough, Nevada, Mo.; and great-great-nephew, Weston Brooks. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Dale Koopmann; and one sister, Shirley Earll.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Pastor Jeff Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in Deerfield Cemetery, Deerfield. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m., Monday, Aug. 15, at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made in Jolene’s memory to Ozark Christian College or Show-Me Christian Youth Home in care of Ferry Funeral Home.
