Robert Wayne Triplett, 80, passed away at his home on Friday, Aug. 12, 2022.

Robert (Bob) was born in St. Charles, Mo., on June 7, 1942, to his late parents Charles Melvis Triplett and Myrtle Frances (Bess) Triplett.

He was united in marriage to Connie Jean (Vickers) Triplett on April 14, 2009, who survives him.

Bob was an avid hunter of various game. He especially enjoyed hunting with his bird dogs throughout several states. No matter if it was by himself, with his wife, with family or friends, it was always a great day. He also enjoyed his time spent hunting throughout woods with his coon hounds and his mules. Bob loved music! Whether singing while playing his guitar or banjo, to playing his harmonica when we were traveling. He had a song in his mind or in his heart throughout the day. He enjoyed all types of music, but his favorites were cajun, country and gospel.

He also had a great passion for fishing, golfing and dancing. Bob had a tremendous love for cooking (and was a good cook!). It could be anything from homemade biscuits with gravy to a big pot of gumbo and many things in between. A favorite for Bob was frying fish with all the fixins’, for family and friends.

Bob was a Mason, a member of Nevada Missouri Golf and Country Club, Wellington Texas Golf and Country Club, along with various hunting Clubs in Missouri and Kansas and the Redman fishing circuit. Bob was very proud of his tool and die profession. He received several certificates and was recognized for his many accomplishments in design during his career.

Along with his wife Connie, he will be forever missed by his son, Kevin Triplett (Holly) of Grand Junction, Colo. (son of Barbara Rodieck, Nevada, Mo.); one brother, Tom Triplett (Tim Cronkhite) of Wellington, Fla.; two sisters, Chris Freedman (Stuart) of Grants Pass, Ore., and Janie Carter of Wellington, Fla.; two grandchildren, Logan and Jessie; Aunt Lois Bess of Tebbetts, Mo.; cousins, Gary and Belinda Heimericks of Tebbetts, Mo., and Lee Anderson of Tebbetts, Mo.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and many beloved family members who welcomed him home in joy and celebration with arms open wide, along with Bob’s favorite bird dog wagging its tail, so glad to see him too.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Mo., with Pastor Marshall Crossnoe officiating. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the time of service at Maupin Funeral Home.
