Gary Dean Forrester Sr., 79, Nevada, Mo., died on Friday, Aug. 26, 2022, at Freeman Hospital, in Joplin.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Sept. 2, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada, with Pastor Roger Beach officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at 12:30 p.m., in the National Cemetery in Fort Scott, Kan. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
