Brian Stan Uentillie passed away on Sept. 13, 2022, at the age of 48, at Overland Park Regional Hospital, Overland Park, Kan.

Brian was born on Feb. 21, 1974, in Gallup, N.M., to Stanley and Rachael (Shack) Uentillie. He was a member of the Navajo tribe and was a high school graduate and attended trade school. He worked as a welder in commercial construction before becoming disabled.

In May of 2009, he married Velora McCown and she preceded him in death.

Brian enjoyed camping and fishing and he always wanted to be a bull rider.

Brian is survived by his mother, Rachael Arviso; his father, Stanley Uentillie Jr.; a son, Hunter McCown; four brothers, Leebert Arviso, Lionel Arviso, Lance Arviso, and Lyle Arviso; sister, Michelle Paquin; foster parents, Eugene and Rhonda Purser; and five foster siblings, Dustin, Cody, Brody, and Cinta Purser, and Darcie Hix.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 23, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, Mo., with burial to follow at Balltown Cemetery, Horton, Mo. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m., until service time on Friday.
