Robert Dean McVay

Robert Dean McVay, 52, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. Robert was born July 15, 1970, in Des Mones, Iowa, to Larry A. McVay Sr. and Claudia M. (Boyd) McVay.

Robert worked throughout his life as a carpenter, with an emphasis in residential construction. He had a love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed camping, he was also an avid Chicago Bears Fan. Robert loved his girls and the time he spent with them.

Survivors include three daughters, Amanda McVay and her husband Tyler Stair, Seneca, Mo., Ashton McVay and her husband David Boles, Carl Junction, Mo., and Alana Williams and her husband Zach, Bronaugh, Mo.; mother, Claudia Roby, Nevada; grandchildren, Asher, Remi, Boone, Austyn, Navy, Thaydun, and Tuckstun; siblings, Melissa (Lee) Atchison, Lees Summit, Mo., Clifford, McVay, Nevada, Larry McVay, Dalton City, Ill., Gary McVay Winterset, Iowa, and Kim Osborn, Las Vegas, Nev.; nieces and nephews; and his girlfriend, Jennifer Hagerman, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his father, and a niece, Olivia McVay.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Sept. 26, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
