Mary Francis (Keener) Jennings

Mary Francis (Keener) Jennings was born on March 26, 1930 in Rich Hill, Missouri, the daughter of John Christopher Keener and Carrie Elizabeth Fredrick. Mary was united in marriage to Carl E. Jennings on January 27, 1947. Mom and Dad met at the Rich Hill Skating Rink on December 31, 1946. To this union, four children were born.

She worked for Marion Lab for several years as a clerk. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Carl Jennings who passed on June 1, 2015; daughter, Nancy Stevenson and husband Don; son, Jim Jennings; and her parents, Carrie Keener and John Keener.

She is survived by her children, Beth & Dennis Diehl of Nevada, Missouri, and Mike & Kathy Jennings of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; sister, Cindy & Paul Creech of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and nephew Andy; 9 grandchildren, Sonya Corwine, Aaron Diehl, Blaine Diehl, Darrell Stevenson, Deb Arney, Shay Bush, Carrie Andes, Sarah Jennings, and Amanda Jennings; 10 great-grandchildren.

A huge “Thank You” to Joe Clark Residential Care Home and Compassus Hospice for the amazing care she received from the caregivers. A special thanks to Karen Clark, Amy Calvert, Billy Joe Dent, and her very special lady, Janetta Caudill. A special thanks also to her little buddy, Max, who she called “Marcus.”

Visitation will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 28, at Heuser Funeral Home, in Rich Hill, Mo. Funeral services will be held following the visitation, at 11 a.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Joe Clark Residential Care Home in care of Heuser Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Green Lawn Cemetery, in Rich Hill, Mo.
